Our members are
part of a powerful network of teaching
professionals through their involvement in
association activities. There are conferences,
workshops, festivals, special educational
programming, student competitions and
opportunities to meet new friends. As a member,
enjoy enlightening educational opportunities
through the national and state conference,
discounts and resources, collegiate chapters,
investment services, professional and personal
insurance.
There are three
levels of membership:
1.
National—MTNA (Music Teachers National
Association)
2.
State—WMTA
(Wisconsin Music Teachers Association)
(3).
Local
Membership entails
belonging to both the National and State
affiliated association. Your registration will
automatically register you in both MTNA and WMTA.
Separate membership dues are paid for both

Local association
membership, while encouraged, is optional
through Wisconsin.
The Local Associations are the strength and
backbone of WMTA.
Fourteen area groups are located about
the state and serve as a strong networking
organization for interested teachers. Monthly
meetings are held featuring an expert speaker
and members have the opportunity to become
involved in committee functions and programs
